MSEF offers both thesis and non-thesis program channels:
Requirements for Thesis Program:
- EF 592/EF 593 Master’s Thesis (M.Sc.) (non-credit, must requirement)
- Completing 1 Research Methodology and Academic Publication Ethics Course (as a requirement of the Council of Higher Education regulations)
- Completing 1 Thesis Preparation Seminar (non-credit, as a requirement of the Council of Higher Education regulations)
- Completing 4 elective courses
- Minimum total credits: 24
- Minimum number of credit courses: 8
- Minimum ECTS: 120
- Thesis will be evaluated as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Students should register to thesis course and defend the thesis satisfactorily in front of the jury verbally and in written form.
- Total length of master’s degree study with thesis program is 4 semesters. Extension of 2 semesters is offered for students who complete credit courses, seminar and publication ethics course within 4 semesters.
- Scientific Preparatory Program should be completed with full attendance and success within 1 year. This duration does not include total program length. Course registration requires advisor approval during Scientific Preparatory Program.
Requirements for Non-Thesis Program
- Completing 1 Research Methodology and Academic Publication Ethics Course (as a requirement of the Council of Higher Education regulations)
- Completing 1 graduation project (non-credit, must)
- Completing 6 elective courses
- Minimum total credits: 30
- Minimum number of credit courses: 10
- Minimum ECTS: 90
- Graduation project will be evaluated as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Students should register to graduation project and submit graduation project at the end of the same semester. Total length of master’s degree study with non-thesis program is 3 semesters.
